Jansen Moves Over To USA

Matt Jansen could be about to resurrect his once promising career in Major League Soccer after netting a trial with the New York Red Bulls. Jansen was released by Bolton at the end of last season after his short term contract came to an end and he is now hopeful of securing a deal across the Atlantic after being put through his paces with the Red Bulls.

The 28-year old has suffered a rotten run of luck since being involved in a motorcycle accident four summers ago and this was to cruelly take away the chance of full international honours with England.

At the moment both parties are yet to agree on a full time deal but Jansen says that the initial signs with the American club have been encouraging.

"I'm just taking a look for a week, see if they like me and if I like them, I did well on the first day and hopefully that will continue." he said

Walking Down The Manny Road would like to wish Matt all the best in his quest to find a new club.
