New Deal For Ben-Haim?

Bolton Wanderers defender Tal Ben-Haim could be about to earn himself a new and improved contract to stay at the Reebok Stadium... Ben-Haim has been the subject of transfer speculation linking him to Premiership rivals West Ham United in recent weeks and it is believed that the Wanderers want to sit down in the immediate future and discuss new terms with the 24-year old in an attempt to keep him at the club.

The Israeli international moved to the Trotters from Maccabi Tel-Aviv two years ago and has since proved to be a cool and consistant performer at the heart of the Bolton defence.

Meanwhile, the veteran Spanish goalkeeper Jose Francisco Molina has once again been linked with a move to the Whites following his summer release from Deportivo La Coruna.

Barcelona's Maxi Lopez, ex-Tottenham forward Mido and Lens full back Benoit Assou Ekotto are other names said to be on Sam Allardyce's shopping list, although the manager has yet to be specific about who he wants to sign during the close season.
