A third striker is being linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers this summer with American international Josh Wolff the latest name to enter the fray. Earlier on in the week moves for Valencia's Patrick Kluivert and Francis Jeffers of Charlton Athletic where forecast but now this morning's Daily Mirror is claiming that the Wanderers have turned their attentions to the Kansas City Wizards player Wolff.

The 29-year old is available for nothing and will be able to move immediately after the World Cup without any work permit problems as he holds a regular place in the USA international team.

Born in Georgia, he has also played for the Chicago Fire during his MLS career and represented his country in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. He is also strongly rumoured to be on the wanted list of David Moyes at Everton and was once undergoing trials with Blackburn Rovers.

At his best a pacey player with lots of ability, his progress has been hampered by niggling injuries but a move to the Wizards has given his career a new lease of life.
