Bolton Linked With Jeffers Swoop

Newspaper reports are suggesting that Bolton Wanderers could be about to make a move for Charlton Athletic's out of favour forward Francis Jeffers. The 25-year old cost the Addicks a fee in the region of £2.6 million at the start of last season when moving from London neighbours Arsenal but he has since been unable to rediscover the form of his early career which saw him burst onto the scene as a pacy teenager at Everton.

One time England international Jeffers will be able to move for nothing at the end of his contract this summer and this could tempt Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce into making a move.

Bolton are already well covered in the attacking department as the likes of Kevin Davies, Jared Borgetti, Stelios Giannakopoulos, El-Hadji Diouf and Matt Jansen are vying for three places.

The Trotters are currently in the process of finalising a deal for Jeffers former Everton team mate Idan Tal who will move from Maccabi Haifa under the Bosman ruling.
