Bolton Want More For Stelios

Bolton Wanderers have told Manchester City that they must increase their £1 million offer for Greek midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos. The Trotters received a formal bid from City on Saturday afternoon, but the price being offered by Stuart Pearce's side is considered to be way short of Bolton's valuation.

Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce told BBC GMR that the club had rejected a first bid from City but where open to re-negotiation further down the line.

"£1million is not enough, If they want to negotiate some more, fair enough." said Allardyce

"Because this has come to light we will have a meeting with Stelios and talk to Manchester City. We will see where we go from there."
