Bolton Wanderers reserves will be hoping to build on the four points which they picked up from the last two games when they take on Newcastle United at the County Ground in Leyland later on this evening.

An inexperienced Wanderers second string held Middlesbrough to a goalless draw last week to follow on from the home win over Sunderland a couple of weeks previous.

Bolton are still rooted to the bottom of the table and are adrift of nearest club Wigan Athletic by nine points but there has been slight signs of improvement from Jimmy Phillips side.

Opponents Newcastle currently lie fifth in the table but a win tonight could put them within a couple of points of second placed Sunderland.

The Wanderers are yet to announce their line up but Newcastle include experienced names such as Peter Ramage, Shola Ameobi and Lamine Diatta in their eleven.

Former Bolton trialists Tamas Kadar and Wesley Ngo-Baheng also feature for the Magpies.
