Polish international striker Grzegorz Rasiak has already made an impression since moving from Southampton to Bolton Wanderers on transfer deadline day despite not yet having made an appearance for the Trotters.

The 29-year old moved to Bolton on loan for the rest of the season last Thursday and Wanderers boss Gary Megson is already happy with the way in which the 6ft 3" forward has acquitted himself in training.

Speaking to the clubs official website, Megson says Rasiak is a danger off crosses and set pieces as opposed to being a flair player who will pull off something spectacular in front of goal.

"Grzegorz has got a great goalscoring record. He's good in both boxes and in terms of crosses, set pieces and getting into the box, he does particularly well" said Megson

"He doesn't score too many goals from 20-25 yards, he doesn't score too many goals where he'll go past one or two players and chip past the goalkeeper but he scores an awful lot of goals from crosses"

"I'm delighted with the way he's gone about his training with us so far"

Rasiak has had a previous spell in the Premiership with Tottenham Hotspur in the 2005-2006 season but he was restricted to just eight league appearances during his time at White Hart Lane.
