Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Scott Sellars has been appointed as the new Assistant Manager of League One side Chesterfield following Alan Knill's decision to return to Bury as their new manager earlier this week.
Sellars will assist his one time Huddersfield Town collegue Lee Richardson in the role at Saltergate after previously spending time as the U-18's coach at Sheffield United.
The 42-year old was best remembered by Wanderers fans for being an integral part of the side which stormed to the First Division championship title just over a decade ago.
Between 1995 and 1999, Sellars made over 100 appearances for Bolton and later went on to be one of a few Englishmen to play in Demark when spending some time with Aalborg.
