Manchester United Res. 3 Bolton Wanderers 2.

Ricardo Vaz-Te - goal

Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz-Te scored on his return to action after a six month injury lay off but it wasn't enough to stop Bolton Wanderers reserves from going down 3-2 to Manchester United in the later stages of the Manchester Senior Cup.

Vaz-Te has been missing from action since suffering a bad knee injury on the opening day of the season but he wasted no time in putting the Wanderers in front at the Victoria Stadium.

Unfortunately for the visitors they found themselves 3-1 down by the half way point and a second defeat in a week at the hands of United looked the most probable outcome.

Norwegian international Daniel Braaten pulled a goal back for the Wanderers to set up an interesting finish but it was all in vain as Bolton's cup hopes for the season diminished.
