German giants Bayern Munich are beleived to be interesting in recruiting Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi for next season after being impressed with the performance of the Oman international when Bolton visited the Allianz Arena in November..

Munich want to add to their goalkeeping options due to the impending retirement of Oliver Kahn in the summer and Al-Habsi is someone who may fit the bill.

Although not a regular at the Wanderers, the 26-year old has impressed when called upon and has proved to be a more than able deputy for regular custodian Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Ironically, both keepers are out of contract this summer and Jaaskelainen is expected to move onto pastures new leaving the way clear for Al-Habsi to make the number one spot his own.

However, football agent Peter Harrison, the man who represents the two players, says he has had contact with clubs overseas about the availability of Al-Habsi as well as Jaaskelainen.

"I've had calls from foreign clubs, from Germany especially, We'll assess things in the summer." said Harrison to the News of the World.

Bolton manager Gary Megson has made it clear in recent times that he will postpone contract talks with his players until the club have a more stable league position.
