Megson - Tight Lipped

Leicester City manager and Bolton Wanderers target Gary Megson refused to answer any media questions about his future plans following the Foxes 1-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United yesterday evening.

The 48-year old is hotly tipped to replace Sammy Lee as the new Bolton boss within the coming days but he hardly gave anything away to reporters about his future in the Leicester post-match press conference yesterday.

When asked if he would still be in charge for the Foxes weekend game against Barnsley, Megson simply replied "I don't know" giving an indication that his long term future could well lie elsewhere.

Megson was only appointed to the Leicester hot seat in mid-September and prior to that had struggled to find work following his departure from Nottingham Forest in 2006.

"I have not spoken to the chairman since Sunday so I am unaware of all the facts. The facts at the moment appear to be all about me but they don't include me so I am not telling anyone anything." added Megson

"I am the manager of Leicester and I just want to talk about Leicester. I am going to see the chairman to talk about where we are going."

After Graeme Souness pulled out of the race and Real Sociedad continued to rebuff any Bolton approaches for Chris Coleman it would appear Megson is now top of the wanted list much to the bemusement of many Wanderers supporters.

Megson has previously managed Norwich City, Blackpool, Stockport County, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Forest with his only Premiership experience coming at Albion in the 2002-2003 campaign.
