Reebok's association with Bolton Wanderers will stretch into it's second decade after the Sportswear manufactor confirmed that it has signed an sponsorship agreement with the club which will run until 2016.

This new nine year deal is the biggest sponsorship agreement in the clubs history and it will include the sponsor of both the club kit and it's stadium for the next few seasons.

Back in 1990 the famous worldwide brand replaced the former Co-op chain Normid as shirt sponsor and local company Matchwinner as kit manufactor and in 1997 when the club moved from their old Burnden Park ground, the former Prime Minster John Major confirmed that Bolton's new stadium would be known as The Reebok Stadium.

Reebok, who's origins with Bolton stretch back to 1895 when local man Joseph Foster opened a shoe shop in the Deane area of the town, have always remained close to their roots.

Bolton cheif executive Allan Duckworth was delighted that a new agreement had been struck and these sentiments where echoed by the UK's managing director of Reebok, Kath Smith.

"Bolton Wanderers have enjoyed an outstanding and mutually beneficial partnership with Reebok for a great many years. We pride ourselves on establishing long term strategic partnerships and are delighted to be able to extend our stadium naming rights partnership for a further nine-year term, thereby reaffirming our association with one of the world's leading sportswear companies." said Mr Duckworth
