Bolton Wanderers could be about to launch a mass raid on relegated Sheffield United as new manager Sammy Lee looks to stamp his own authority on the club ahead of the new Premiership season which begins in just under two months from now..

With the recent news that Jussi Jaaskelainen has snubbed a new contract to stay at the Reebok Stadium, the Wanderers have been linked with a move for United's highly rated Republic of Ireland international Paddy Kenny (pictured) as a potential replacement.

The Sky Sports website say Kenny is high up on Bolton's wanted list along with Liverpool custodian Scott Carson, who spent the last year out on loan with Charlton Athletic.

Bolton are also being linked with a move for Blades winger Keith Gillespie as the experienced Northern Ireland star is yet to commit to a new contract with the Bramall Lane club.

Gillespie had an Indian summer in South Yorkshire last season and the Trotters have followed his contract situation ever since. However, both Kenny and Gillespie are players whom United manager Bryan Robson will fight tooth and nail to keep hold of in the close season.
