Allardyce Set For Newcastle

Former Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce's is set to cut short his "sabbatical" in order to make a swift return to Premiership football with Newcastle United just under two weeks after quitting the Wanderers because he claimed he needed a break from the game.

Allardyce is beleived to have met Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd for talks at the Claridge's Hotel and things are expected to develop within the next few days according to the man himself.

"It was a good meeting and my agent will speak to Newcastle again over the next few days to discuss matters further," Allardyce told The Sun.

Bolton have invited Allardyce to watch their game against Aston Villa tommorow but as yet have received no response from the man who took them to big things over the space of eight years as manager.
