Former Wanderers full back Brian Borrows has ended his long association with Coventry City after Sky Blues boss Iain Dowie decided to restructure his backroom team. Borrows leaves his youth coaching post at the Ricoh Arena with immediate effect and Dowie is now looking to bring in two new employees to fill the roles of Academy Director and Assistant Academy Director.

As a player Borrows was Bolton's Player of the Season in the 1984-1985 campaign before going onto make well over 300 appearances for Coventry during their heydey in the top flight.

He missed out on an FA Cup winners medal in 1987 owing to injury and later completed his career with Swindon Town before announcing his retirement from the game in 1999.

In other news, Colin Todd will be back in football this summer after accepting a two year role with the Danish club Randers. He will be assisted by ex-Wanderers hardman Stig Tofting.
