Henrik Pedersen could be about to end his six year association with Bolton Wanderers according to a report in the Danish newspaper BT. Pedersen claims he had a verbal agreement in place with Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce where by his contract would be extended for a further twelve months, but the player now claims that this agreement has been broken following his performance in the recent defeat against Manchester United when he was substituted after just half an hour.

The 31-year old joined the Bolton ranks from Silkeborg in 2001 and is currently one of the longest serving players on the clubs books. However, he is quoted as saying that his managers decision over the contract situation represents a lack of class and disrespect.

"He (Allardyce) has now gone back on his word and I think that is totally disrespectful and shows a lack of class. I have told Sam Allardyce that in my world a verbal agreement is as binding as a written agreement." Pedersen is alleged to have said

"The manager's answer was that that it's like that everywhere else in English football and that he had a change of mind because I played so poorly in the first-half against Manchester United at Old Trafford last month.

Pedersen will now be eligable to talk to other clubs in a bid to move under the Bosman ruling but as yet Wanderers have not made any official comments on the reports.

"I think that is a poor excuse and I find it hard to believe that the decision has been based on one half. It is now up to me to try and find another English club."
