Tonight sees the Bolton Wanderers reserve team take on their Lancashire rivals Wigan Athletic at the County Ground in Leyland.

Jimmy Phillips side recorded a superb win against league leaders Middlesbrough the last time out and Wanderers are hoping that another three points will be in the offing against Wigan, who currently lie bottom of the table.

Goalkeeper Przemyslaw Kazimierzczak is back in the Bolton squad after completing a period on loan at League Two strugglers Accrington Stanley and there are also places for Spanish veteran Cesar Martin and ex-Latics midfielder David Thompson.

Wigan coach David Lowe will be hoping for a much needed win to lift his side nearer towards catching the team who lie second from bottom. This is currently Everton but the Toffees do have two games in hand on their rivals and a far superior goal difference.

Earlier in the season Bolton won 1-0 against Wigan at the Robin Park Arena thanks to a goal from current first team captain Kevin Nolan, who had asked to play for the second string to work on his fitness.
