Bolton Move Fulfills Michalik Dream

Slovakian international centre half Lubomir Michalik says that a recent switch from his homeland to Bolton Wanderers is a dream come true. The 23-year old giant could make his Premiership debut for the Wanderers this weekend after being named in the side which travels down to Watford and he cannot wait to get started having previously only watched English football on the television.

"This is such a dream. Up until now I have only seen English football on TV and now I play for the fifth-placed Premiership team. During the [medical] tests I was extremely nervous, but as time went by, it started to be better." said the former FC Senec man

Michalik lists Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand as one of his idols and the pair could be on opposing team sheets when Bolton play at Old Trafford in the middle of March.

For now though the young defender is hoping to make his mark in Britain and help the Trotters get back into Europe.
