Bolton reserves are looking for their third win in a row this evening as they take on North West rivals Everton at the Halton Stadium in Widnes. Recent victories against Wigan Athletic and Manchester City have moved the second string away from the foot of the reserve table and coach Jimmy Phillips will hope that his side can progress even further when coming up against the Toffees.

Games between these two sides usually end up being drawn as defender Mark Ellis demonstrated when earning the Wanderers a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw in last season's fixture some eleven months ago.

Two years ago it was a similar story also as the two sides played out a goalless draw at Haig Avenue in Southport.

Phillips names a number of players with first team experience in his squad, with the most notable being wing back Ricardo Gardner and one time England goalkeeper Ian Walker.

Portugal U21 international striker Ricardo Vaz-Te and Iran World Cup midfielder Andranik Teimourian also make the trip to Merseyside as does the one time Everton player Idan Tal.
