The reserves are in back in league action tonight as they take on their Middlesbrough counterparts at Central Avenue in Billingham. This evening's game comes just a week after a young Bolton reserve team where thumped 6-0 by Oldham Athletic in the second phase of this seasons Manchester Senior Cup.

Another inexeperienced squad will make its way up to the North East for the Boro game but coach Jimmy Phillips has the added luxury of being able to select nine youth internationals from the sixteen.

Back in April a goal from Matt Jansen and two Middlesbrough own goals from Colin Cooper and John Johnson gave Bolton a 3-1 victory to lift them off the bottom of the table.
