Addicks Cup Date For Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers have been handed an away tie against Premiership rivals Charlton Athletic in the third round of the Carling Cup.. The Addicks have already beaten Sam Allardyce's team on their own ground this year as Darren Bent scored twice in a Premiership match between the two teams at the end of last month.

It will be the first cup meeting that the two sides have contested since March 2000 when Eidur Gudjohnsen scored the only goal to send Bolton through to the FA Cup Semi Finals.

The first ever League Cup meeting between these two sides will take place on the week commencing 23rd October.
