Hibs Ignore Bolton's Thomson Bid

Bolton Wanderers have failed in their attempt to land Hibernian captain Kevin Thomson before last night's midnight transfer deadline. Wanderers are beleived to have tabled a bid in the region of £1.5 million for the Scottish U21 midfielder but reports north of the border in the Daily Record claim that Hibs cheif executive Rod Petrie did not come back to them with a definate answer.

Thomson and his club team mate Scott Brown where both under intese scrutiny in recent months and Bolton are said to be very keen on bringing the pair to the English Premiership.

The Scottish club where originally said to want £4 million up front for the duo who's progress will still be monitored by the Wanderers leading up to the January transfer window. However, Hibs boss Tony Mowbray is reluctant to part with two of his best players and will stand firm in his attempts to keep them at Easter Road.
