Henrik Pedersen has suffered a reoccurance of the achillies injury which troubled him for so long last season but the Wanderers are hopeful that the long serving Dane will be back in action within a fortnight. The 31-year old spent six months on the sidelines last season after suffering the injury towards the end of October and this problem has since come back to haunt him at the start of the current pre-season programme.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce and his backroom team are however monitoring the situation quite strongly and they hope to have Pedersen back in action just before the season begins.

"Henrik has a slight issue with his Achilles that caused him problems last season, We are monitoring the situation and remain hopeful that it is not as serious as it was before." said Allardyce to the Bolton Evening News

"He'll continue to have treatment and it should clear up over the next fortnight."

Pedersen filled in at left back for a number of games during the last campaign, and with Ricardo Gardner already on the sidelines the Wanderers remain hopeful that the Scandanavian can banish this particular problem for good.
