Czech and Liverpool star Patrik Berger will leave Liverpool at the end of the campaign.

Berger who has been liked with moves to Glasgow Celtic and Sunderland has confirmed he will leaveThe Reds when his contract runs out.

"It's definite that I'll go somewhere else, but it will be in July next year when my contract with Liverpool runs out."

"I won't go earlier than that. I'm not even considering a winter move," quotes from the Czech daily Sport.

Berger who has seen his first team chances limited says he will not push for a new contract with the Anfield club.

He says: "Why would I extend a contract at a club where I don't play and I'm not even on the substitutes' bench?"
