Julien Rodriguez joins Rangers

The former Monaco central defender has signed a £1 million pound deal, 4 year deal, to move to Scottish giants Rangers... Rangers have finally completed the signing of the 27 year old after a medical. The former Monaco skipper has signed a 4 year deal at the Ibrox, linking up with former Monaco team-mates Dado Prso and Pierre-Fanfan. Rangers Manager, Alex McLeish, signed the Frenchman as a replacement for Greek International defender, Kyrgiakos, who rejected a deal to stay with the Glasgow giants.

"He has a wealth of experience, which is something we need to aid the aspirations of the club." McLeish said upon securing the services of the cental defender. Rodriguez also spoke of his delight of moving to the Scottish champions "I know that Rangers are a very big club and I can't wait to be part of this club. I want to win as much as I can here."

The Old Firm club have beaten the Champions League deadline meaning that Rodriguez can play in Tuesday's Champions League qualifier against Anorthosis Famagusta.
