The whole Rangers saga is making our whole game a laughing stock as indecision follows indecision, rather anyone taking string action.

Looking at Rangers themselves the administrators Duff and Phelps appear to set deadline after deadline which have been ignored or extended. We have been waiting on the announcement of a preferred bidder for a few weeks now.

To this untrained eye it looks to me as though they are doing whatever they can do to try to give the Blue Knights the chance to win the bid. This is the one bid that appears to be the choice of the fans.

All the words from Ibrox come across that time is running out, and liquidation could be a reality.

As a result the SPL themselves postponed a decision on not only how to deal with a newco but also on the new voting structure.

The vote has been put back a week to give time for clarity to be found on the Rangers situation. This makes me think Rangers are being treated as a special case and the new rules cannot be put in place for fear of reprisals.

Nothing is surer we need someone to take control and clear everything up, as it is not affecting clubs and their plans for next season. Motherwell boss Stuart McCall said on MFC TV yesterday his plan for next season are on hold while they wait to see what happens to Rangers.

He knows this will have an affect on his budget for next season, he admitted they have already made a number of offers to players out of contracts already but on less money than last season.

Time for action, and provide clarity to all clubs and fans what will be happening next season.
