Tynecastle

Things just get weirder and weirder at Tynecastle leaving you wondering more and more when and where it will all end.

There seems to be a news story every day about happenings down Gorgie way and it paints an ever confusing picture. Some of the stories this week are;

  • Goalkeeper Janos Balogh leaves the club with immediate effect

  • Four offered contract extensions, despite not being paid at the moment.

  • November salaries not paid, players going to their union and not being able to meet their financial commitments.

  • Fringe players receiving letters about their future, basically telling them they have no future!

This has also had an impact on the field with the club, they have only scored three goals in their last six games, and picked up only four points from 18 available in that time.

This has seen them slip to fifth in the table, eight points behind third place Motherwell ahead of a weekend trip toCelticPark.

Owner Vladimir Romanov needs to show some strong leadership and either sort things out and tell the employees what the plan is for the future, both long and short term.

Not only do the employees need to know so do the fans, they must now be wondering why they bother to turn up.

It’s a long way from the promises of Champions League football, World Cup players and a new stadium.

If Romanov is not prepared to show the leadership required he should sell up as quickly as possible (is there are any interested buyers!!).

All in all it would make a great soap opera is someone could buy the rights for it!!
