The SFA Fast Track disciplinary committee met today and dealt with three appeals from SPL clubs.

The committee met to discuss the appeals against red cards for Rory Fallon ofAberdeen, Chris Hogg of Inverness and Gary Mason ofDunfermlinefrom last Saturday.

I did say earlier this week that I would uphold Hogg’s, reduce Fallon to a second yellow and leave Mason with a red card.

The panel disagreed with me on only one, that was Hogg’s red card against Motherwell last week. At the time I thought it was a red card, but having seen it on TV I thought that it was hard to describe it as an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

After the gameInvernessboss Terry Butcher was incandescent with rage at the decision, and I am sure he will have burst a blood vessel when he heard today’s decision.

While the speed of the appeals is to be applauded I am getting a bit worried about the inaccuracy of some of them.

Hopefully as time goes on they will get them all right, or in other words agree with my opinion!!
