Kayal celebrates

Celtic responded to Rangers emphatic win on Saturday with a thumping 4-1 win over Dundee Utd today.

The papers were full of “quotes” from Rangers Steven Naismith questioning the bottle of Celtic, but these were well and truly rammed straight back at him with an emphatic win this afternoon.

How it wasn’t more than 1-0 to Celtic at half time had many shaking their heads. They were ahead thanks to a goal which was all down to the fans preferred front two with Stokes setting up Hooper for a tap in at the far post.

As with yesterday’s game for Rangers the first goal in the second half was going to be important. It took a special strike from Kayal ease the pressure at Celtic Park, he picked the ball up 30 yards from goal took time to look up and pick his spot with a bending shot which left Pernis helpless.

The scoring was completed in the last ten minutes, Commons making it three one for Celtic before Johnny Russell bagged one for United but Murphy restored the three goal advantage with a fine solo goal in the dying minutes.

Celtic now head north to Inverness on Tuesday to play their game in hand, still safe in the knowledge the fate of the title is still in their own hands with four games left.
