Dons Boss Mark McGhee admits alarm bells are ringing at Aberdeen over the sides current form.

After winning their opening two games Aberdeen have only taken four points from the next 39! They have now lost 6 straight League games, including 0-9 at Celtic Park, and have slumped to equal foot of the table.

Not surprisingly this has put more doubt on Mark McGhee and his future at the club, with Director of Football Willie Miller saying, “No one at the club is in any doubt that our form must improve as we can't remain near the bottom of the SPL.

"We will sit down with Mark this week and discuss just where he is in terms of preparing for the game with Celtic.

"This is another huge game for us and Mark has to be confident he can turn this recent form around and get us back up the table. He and the players have to try to formulate a plan which can get a result against Celtic."

Not exactly the dreaded vote of confidence, and it sounds ominous for McGhee.

McGhee has responded with defiant words, "Everything has come to a point where alarm bells have got to ring. They are certainly ringing strongly in my head and they have been for a while. But they really started going after watching how poor we were at Kilmarnock.

"This is the most critical point of the season as far as I'm concerned. We are now in a scrap and must dig ourselves out of a hole.

"But we will only do that by staying calm, sticking together and working really hard."

Given how the Dons fans hounded out the two Jimmys for achieving European football, top six finishes and Cup semi final it makes you wonder how long McGhee can possibly hold on.
