Two of the planned Scottish Cup replays have now been called off tomorrow thanks to a lack of referees.

Due to the withdrawal of referees earlier today only one Scottish Cup third round replay will now be played this weekend. Beith v Airdrie United will kick-off at Bellsdale Park at 1pm on Saturday. Ironically it could still be called off due to the weather and is now subject to a 9am pitch inspection.

Given local refs are on strike, will the foreign ref allocated to the game be there early enough to carry out a pitch inspectiom

The two games cancelled are, Threave Rovers v. Stenhousemuir and Annan Athletic v. Brechin City.

There is another large dose of irony here, the SFA is prepared to sacrifice games in its own competition to make sure the SPL games go ahead, once again making sure the smaller teams are suffering while the people who kicked off all the trouble are protected.

It will be interesting to see how many more games fall through in the next 24 hours given it is only this morning all eleven games committed to were still on!!
