There is news breaking this morning that the Polish referees planned to cover Scottish games have pulled out.
The Polish referees had flights and hotels booked and a fee agreed with the Polish FA but it appears they now have other commitments!
The SFA is confident the referees they have coming from Malta, Luxembourg and Austria will be enough to cover the 11 games comfirmed yesterday.
Sky Sports News has reported from Fir Park, Motherwell that Craig Brown the Motherwell bos has been told their game with Hearts on Sunday will have a referee bit they haven't been told who!
Brown has allegedly called the situation and "embarrasment" to Scottish Football and has received messages from all over the world.
I agree with Brown and the SFA and the SPL should've sat down yesterday and called the games off, particularly with a freee midweek when the games could have been played. The SFA seem to have clung on to contractual obligations to the Leagues.
It would probably have been cheaper to agree compensation than fly in refs from all over Europe.
