No Walsall fan needs to be told the significance of this game. It's gone down in Walsall Footballing folklore as the greatest Cup Tie of all time.

A ticket from that game is now up for auction on E-Bay.

Current bidding situation

At  4pm on the 30th of January the highest bid is £3.80 There are still 6 days to run.

Potential Value

This item is unique so it's hard to gauge. As a quick pointer. World Cup ticket stubs from 1966 (Group Games) go for about £50. Ticket stubs from big Arsenal games in the 70s and 80s are fetching around £15-£20, At the lower end of the market, a used stub from the Barry Fry testimonial in the Summer will cost about £7.50. We've e-mailed one or two so called experts to get more info.

Adding Value

If you have an original 1933 programme, then this item is a must have. It will increase the value of both items. Most serious collectors like to have things like this which double up.

Possible Problems

The condition of the ticket isn't all that good. If you were looking to sell it on, we'd recommend that you find out just what a serious bidder would be willing to pay for such a poorly preserved item.

The bidding frenzy

It looks like this could be a very popular item. Walsall and Arsenal  have some serious collectors amongst there ranks. If this is as valuable as we suspect, it could get frenzied and serious. There's already a keen Arsenal bidder involved in the process. The significance of the game could also mean that collectors from outside the two clubs also take an interest.
