Leicester City have released 36 year old striker Dion Dublin. Is he the target man Merse has been craving for? Rumours of a move for the big man have been around for ages.

He may well be out of our price range, but his contract at the Walkers Stadium has now been terminated meaning he is free to talk to other clubs.

Merse talked highly of Stoke's Sidebe and the role he performs for the Potters. Dublin has been in the Midlands area for some time. He's spent time with Villa, Coventry and the Foxes.

Initial press reports link him with a move to Celtic with Gordon Strachan, but if he wants to stay in the area, and is willing to take a cut in wages - then a link up with his old team mate - Paul Merson could well be on the cards.
