The departures of Matt Fryatt and Jorge Leitao had been on the cards for sometime and it isn’t like we’ve had no time to get someone in.

A number of realistic recruits have linked to the Club. The Press and fans on unofficial forums have banded a series names about. These include Joachim (Boston), Peacock (Sheff Wed), Ryan Lowe (Chester City) Martin Butler (Rotherham United) and Darren Byfield (Gillingham).

The strongest of these rumours has revolved around Martin Butler, while talk of moves for Byfield and Peacock hasn't been as intense as the other names listed. .

Merse wants a Forward in by Saturday. If, or whoever we sign. Lets just hope that our leader has applied some forward thinking and it won't be some stop gap who'll sling his hook at the first sight of more cash elsewhere.
