The FA are said to be bidding to host the Euro 2007 U21 Championships - a competition that they plan to host in the Midlands. Media Reports are saying that they would use the Midlands as a base for the Euro 2007 U21 Championships.

Bescot has hosted Youth, U20, B and Womens Internations since opening in 1990 and could well be used should UEFA award England the tournament.

The last time we staged such a Championships England actually played at Bescot with the likes of Robbie Fowler, Nicky Butt and Sol Campbell all starring in the England side that eventually went on to beat Turkey at the City Ground.

Staging such tournaments in certain regions is seems to be favoured by both the FA and UEFA. The Womens Euro 2005 championships were held in the North West of England and the Midlands would provide them with a great platford.

Would the Bescot be used again? It would be nice to think so. You do have to consider that the Hawthorns, Molinuex, Ricoh Arena, St Andrews, Pride Park, Pride Park, Walkers Stadium, Brittania Stadium as well as Villa Park could all be in the running but these are all large grounds pushing towards fapacities of 30,000 - would these be to big? Lets hope we are in the running if the FA gets the go ahead.
