Former Walsall striker Junior has been released by Derby County. They've also released Ian Taylor - a player whose frequently linked with a move to the Bescot.

 

His 16 goals in 42 games made him an instant hit with Walsall fans. His unpredictable yet flamboyant style of play made him a joy to watch. Had we signed him u for another season who knows what might have been? How would he have linked up with Paul Merson? Would they have worked together? Would they have been the dream ticket partnership? Junior and Leitao formed one of the most eye catching partnerships we have ever seen... would it have continued?

His move to Derby was perplexing. How could the Pious Poacher leave when Jesus lived in Walsall? (They paid more money - Duh). Colin Lee wasn't very impressed with the way his agent behaved. 

His record for Derby reads played 33, scored 5 - Hardly impressive, while his short loan spell with Rotherham saw him net 2 goals in 12 games. 

Where will he go now? Who knows, but who'd bet on it being Walsall after what happened last time. 

The Rams have also released Ian Taylor - widely touted as a potential transfer target, but this speculation has died down since Kinsella and Osborn are under contract for another 12 months,
