Zigor Aranalde has been released by the Saddlers . The thought of never seeing our swash buckling full back again has brought a tear to my eye

He arrived as the replacement for Gino Padula. He wasn't the best defender we have ever seen, but he was certainly one of the most flamboyant players we have ever had. 

This may have been on the horizon this summer, but not in the middle of a relegation battle where we already lack the presence of an orthodox left back.

Merson must surely have a new signing lined up for tomorrow. 

It would have been nice to give Zigor a good send off. Would the Club make him a guest of honour for Saturdays game? Lets give one of the most popular characters of the last couple of years the ovation he deserves.
