It was another disappointing away performance at Torquay, but it's a point at least. Now for Swindon at home on Bank Holiday Monday. Walsall achieved their first clean sheet of the season on Saturday, but it was at the expense of not scoring for the first time in the League. The worrying thing was that, before Roper's sending off, the Saddlers had not really threatened against what was, by all accounts, a very poor Torquay side, which has been looking like one of the favourites for relegation, following heavy home defeats to Hull and Sheffield Wednesday.

Manager Paul Merson had already said that he would be likely to make wholesale changes for the home game aginst fancied Swindon Town on Bank Holiday Monday, but now he is going to be forced into it anyway, with Ian Roper suspended following his edning off at Torquay and leading scorer Matt Fryatt having picked up a knock in the same game.

Roper is likely to be replaced by Bennett, as he was at Plainmoor, which will mean we have at least got a left footed defender playing on the left side, with Zigor Aranalde coming in at full back. The only other hint being dropped is the possible return of Steve Corica to the starting line up.

With Merson already behind his prediction of six points from these two games, a confidence boosting win looks to be vital, but it won't be easy!
