TRIO MONITOR BYFIELD

PRESTON NORTH END, GILLINGHAM AND BRISTOL CITY ARE THE OTHER THREE CLUBS BELIEVED TO HAVE SHOWN AN INTEREST IN DARREN BYFIELD.

Monday's Express and Star has revealed Merse was unable to contact the player on Friday & Saturday as he was heading for talks elsewhere.

He is now back training, waiting to see if he has any better offers. Merse and Bonser have taken time to put  a deal together - he is yet to answer them.

It's just a matter of waiting to see if he gets any better offers. Isn't it nice to be someone's last resort?
