Lee Misses Out - Twice!

The papers this week had been linking Colin Lee with the Assistant's job at Leeds and he had expressed an interest in Burnley. Neither was to be. Burnley yesterday announced the appointment of Steve Cotterill as Manager, after Colin Lee had said a week or so ago that it was a job that interested him. The Leicester City coach now will have a chance to prove himself again, following his abandonment of Stoke City and disastrous sojourn at Sunderland, somethinhg which did not endear him to the fans of either club.

Lee had also been tipped in some of the papers to be among the favourites for the Assistant Manager to Kevin Blackwell at Leeds. Blackwell had been said to be looking for someone with experience of the first division, in an attempt to get the Yorkshire club back on track and Lee fitted the bill. He has, however, gone for the recently sacked Burnley Assistant Manager, Sam Ellis, the former Blackpool, Bury and Lincoln manager.
