MERSON'S KEEP LIST

WE ARE BEGINNING TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT OUR SQUAD WILL LOOK LIKE NEXT SEASON. MERSON IS SET TO OFFER CONTRACTS TO THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS..

^{Jorge Leitao, Darren Bazeley, Neil Emblen, Jim Walker, Ian Roper, Gary Birch and Mark Wright.}

^{Defender Ian Roper has already signed up. Ropes has been awarded a three year contract. He signed Professional forms in 95-96, meaning a testimonial looks extremely likely. Roper will be at the club until the Summer of 2007.} 

^{It seems that Mark Wright has done enough to earn a deal. Colin Lee was ready to send him packing along with a  whole host of other youngsters.} 

^{Gary Birch will be offered a deal, but as we have already reported - Barnsley may attempt to sign him on a permanent deal. The Saddlers will be able to demand a fee should Birch move elsewhere.}
