Today's Express and Star indicates that Colin Lee was going to be playing a key role in the future of Walsall FC. He was going to become the clubs Director of Football.

COLIN LEE WAS GOING TO BE TAKING ON A
NEW ROLE THIS SUMMER- DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL.
Lee was to hand first team affairs over to
Paul Bracewell and oversee the footballing side of the Club
Not many people doubt Colin Lee's ability
to work wonders behind the scenes. It is a role tailor made for a man of his
abilities.
Club owner Jeff Bonser has told the
press...
"In October Colin approached me for a
longer term contract in the position of effectively being director of
football"
This would have meant Lee overseeing the
Footballing side of the club, taking in to account the Centre of Excellent and
First Team recruitment.
The likelihood of him taking up this role
is looking doubtful.
