Colin Lee knows that to bring in some more players in, he must clear some more space on the wage bill. New Page 2

The comments of Bonser and Lee within the last 48 hours seem to indicate that departures are likely if we are improve the team for the end of season run in. Bonser has told the press.....

"It's not unlikely there won't be any more money - it's definite,"

"The money isn't there, so without getting the club into extra debt and making the situation worse there is no way we can make extra money available.

"But that's not to say that the current budget can't be used differently by Colin."

While Lee has said that....

"Anything we do will have to be self-funded"

All this points to the fact that Lee has been told he can bring extra players in as long as he makes space on the wage bill. It would be feasible to say that Stanley, Bishop (Pictured right), Smith, Caines,  Hawley and maybe even Wright and Fryatt could find themselves elsewhere either on loan, or through being released before the end of the season.

Lee could even consider moving on the likes of Oakes (Pictured left), Emblen or Lawrence, players you would expect to be playing prominent roles in the first team, but ones who have been little more than peripheral figures. After all, they are going to be earning more money than any of the youngsters mentioned above, and if it would allow us to move in to the transfer market and recruit one or two players until the end of the season then it could be well worth it.

Lee clearly wants to bring some more players in, and the only he option he has is to ship players out. Watch this space.
