Lee has gone Loopy.

After having given his post match analysis of the Watford match, Mister Happy is convinced that Colin has finally lost touch with reality. He really is away with the fairies (chuckle). New Page 1

Having read Our Col's post Watford match analysis in the local Express and Star Mister Happy admits to wetting his knickers so hysterical were his comments. It is proof, if any were needed, that Colin must have been a pupil at The Hoddle/Drury School of Utter nonsense. Absolutely fantastic.

Our Col:

"We looked quite a tired team and we have to remember Chris Baird had a massive journey for an international game and got back late on Sunday, which is difficult for a kid of his age," said Lee.

"Jamie Lawrence played on Sunday for Jamaica, and Gary O'Neil played on Thursday for England under-20s, so we were a little bit tired at the end.

Mister Happy retorts:

Ha ha ha! What a load of old tosh. Let us assume that there weren't any internationals and we played our normal Saturday game prior to Tuesday's effort against Watford. One can only assume that had Gary O'Neil played 3 days prior to Tuesday then he would have felt much less tired than having played 5 days prior to the match with Watford.

If Chris Baird's journey was so massive and truly caused him such tiredness (bless him) then why bloody play him?

Our Col.

"It's a point away from home but I'm glad I didn't pay to get in."

Mister Happy:

We assume you will be refunding the fans then mate!!

Lee reckons a hectic week of training ground work may have led to his team's failure to finish off Watford, but he also thinks last week's work may have played a part in Simon Osborn's first Walsall goal

Mister Happy:

Wicked. How pleasing. It is good to see that our training regime has caused us to draw against a relegation threatened side but Hey! at least we scored. Other teams in Division One are now feeling seriously threatened and approach a match against the Saddlers with much trepidation. Believe me, Sunderland are running scared.

Our Col:

"This week I've tried to change our approach to away games, and from experience I thought we might get performances like that because when you tell players certain things to try to change things they take it literally," he said.

Mister Happy:

If your experience tells you that this approach to away games causes such performances THEN WHY DO IT? Amazing.

This is the ultimate one that caused Mister Happy's bladder to burst.

Our Col:

"What I'm trying to do is get a combination, where we squeeze up tight and play down one side but when we get into their half we play, because we can play.

"They didn't do that because they take things literally.

Mister Happy:

I totally give up. Is it any wonder that the players are confused. The bloke is away with the fairies.

One final quote, this time from wing wizard George Best taken from his book (good read by the way)- Scoring at Half Time.

"Coaching does its very best to stifle the flair, spontaneity and talent that underpins the game as an entertainment sport. Training is vital but coaching is dangerous in the wrong hands. Of course it can only be to the good to help players build on their strengths and limit or eradicate their weaknesses, but to instill systems, tactics and styles of play that don't come naturally was and is very damaging".

Mister Happy was quite startled how well George Best knows our Col.

Mister Happy readily admits, he must get a life.
