Jamie Lawrence is set to miss the first 3 weeks of the season after an accident involving Jorge Leitao. Jorge accidentally stepped on Jamie's foot during the Kidderminster game last week and scans have revealed a possible crack on one of Lawrence's toes. There is better news coming out of Bescot today, with Gary Birch suffering no damage following clashes with Alpay and Lee Hendrie on Saturday. The striker limped out of the action but is showing no concerns to the medical staff.

Colin Lee has asked his squad to be united going into the season as the competition for places hots up. Lee said: "The players I've signed are good players and I'm not going to be able to keep everyone happy every week because you can only field 11 players.

"I've never had a player knock on my door and thank me for picking him but I've had plenty who've come to complain when I haven't.

"But I've told them this season will be about the group of players as a whole trying to be successful.

"Having said that, if I were a player and I wasn't being selected, I'd be doing everything I could to change that."
