Any possible move for Gus Uhlenbeek looks unlikely as the player has joined Chesterfield on trial.

The talk of Gus Uhlenbeek joining the Saddlers two weeks ago seems to have been speculation, as the Dutch full back joined Chesterfield on-trial.

Uhlenbeek turned down a new deal at Valley Parade, and now looks as if he is going to be playing in the Second Division next season.

The player was strongly linked with the Saddlers because Lee had signed him on loan at the end of 01/02.  Meanwhile speculation continues as to who the two defenders with Premier League experiance are.
