Walsall Target Two Defenders

Colin Lee, in an interview with the Star, says that we have targeted two defenders with Premiership experience. If they don't come up trumps, then Danny Hay may get another chance. Colin Lee says that he would be willing to speak to Danny Hay again, but he is still in negotiations with two defenders and feels he should complete those first.

In an interview in the express and star, he says that they both have Premiership experience, and that one has been "particularly successful" in the First Division.

He is quoted as saying:-

"I'm already a long way down the road with a couple of players and it is only right I see those through first before speaking to Danny again. He wants to come back but I'm honour-bound to speak to these other guys before.
Both have Premiership experience and one has been particularly successful in the First Division. I don't know whether I will be successful but it is only right I see the enquiries through.
We helped get Danny's career back on line last season and it was disappointing to see him leave at the end of the season. But if I miss out on other targets then I will be speaking to Danny again."

These revalations, if not one of Colin's smokescreens, suggest that Ludo Pollet is not one of the names, but that Paul Williams still could be.

In the meantime, Matt Carbon's injury is causing some concern, as they cannot pinpoint the problem, which only occurs when he tries to hit the ball long. Scans yesterday showed nothing, but Lee says he may have to play through it and could be included for the Northampton game.
