Tony Barras has today been told he is free to leave the Bescot Stadium and find himself a new club. Barras is a terrace favourite but the news of his release is no surprise.
Barras has made 105 starts for the Saddlers scoring 12 times, and last season had a loan spell at Plymouth. It was not until the end of last season that Barras featured in the Walsall side on a regular basis, but this was due to injuries to Matt carbon and Danny Hay.
Kidderminster are known admirers of Barras and are expected to move for him along with Plymouth and a host of other second and third division teams.
In other news affecting released Walsall players, Danny Sonner is having talks with German club Nuremburg about a possible transfer.
