The Club are again taking steps to
boost gates at the Bescot by requesting that their home fixtures do not
clash with those of West Bromwhich Albion.
With tickets at Wolves, Villa
and Blues going to be in short supply (Ok, maybe not at the Villa),
Walsall hope those unable to get to their games would come to the Bescot
in a bid to watch league Football.
Walsall want to play at home when
the Baggies are away, hoping that it may boost the number of fans from the
Wednesbury and Yew Tree areas turning up to watch the Saddlers.
It remains to be seen whether
the League will allow Walsall fixtures not to clash with Albion ones, but
it is a bold move by the club, and a step in the right direction.
